Day 01
18 Hour Flight
Early morning flight from Orlando to Atlanta to Tokyo
After security, we made our way to the Delta Sky Lounge for some light snacks before boarding. We had just main cabin seats for the flight to Atlanta.
Once in Atlanta, we again went to their Sky Lounge for some breakfast.
We made our way to the front of the plane to our Delta One Suites. What an incredible experience! First Class service, lay down flat seats, 4 course meals, and amenities. After our filling meal and at least one movie under our belt, we were able to get some sleep. Rise and shine, we were up again for yet another meal.
Day 02
Arrival Day
We arrived in Tokyo, Japan!
After making our way through customs and getting our checked bags, we got our Pocket Wifi, JR rail passes, and hopped on the Monorail to Tokyo Station. We met up with our travel companions and then made our way to Osaka. We took one of the Shinkansens, bullet trains. We passed through the city as the lights began to fade and darkness fell upon this city of lit skyscrapers. Unfortunately due to the late hour, we were unable to see Mt. Fuji.
We arrived in Osaka and took a taxi to our hotel.
After checking out our awesome Pokémon room, we decided to hit the town. We grabbed a popular egg salad sandwich from a Family Mart then walked our way over to Dotonbori. After admiring the atmosphere this area offered, we visited a Don Quiote. This is a popular chain of stores that offer discounted everyday items. We browsed popular Japanese brands and limited edition items on over 7 floors of products.
